Sprintade® NITRED® Isotonic Saline is a powder food supplement based on carbohydrates and mineral salts ideal especially during physical activity as it is designed to prepare an isotonic electrolyte solution: Magnesium contributes to electrolyte balance, Calcium and Potassium contribute to normal muscle function. With powdered Beetroot Juice, L-citrulline and Rose Hip extract standardised in Vitamin C: Rose Hip has an antioxidant, supportive and restorative action and is a source of Vitamin C which contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
Ingredients: saccharose, dextrose monohydrate, fructose, beet (Beta vulgaris L.) root juice powder, maltodextrin, acidifier: citric acid, flavouring, tribasic calcium citrate, dibasic magnesium citrate, potassium citrate, sodium citrate, L-citrulline, Rosa Canina (Rosa canina L.) fruit dry extract 70% L-ascorbic acid (Vitamin C); anti-caking agent: silicon dioxide.
How to use: It is recommended to dissolve 30 g of the product per day (equivalent to 2 level scoops) in 500 ml of water. Mix until completely soluble and drink the resulting solution. Repeat up to 2 times a day. Alternatively, an isotonic solution can be obtained by directly dissolving 60 g of the product in 1 L water.
Storage conditions: Store tightly closed in a cool, dry place, protected from light. The end of validity date refers to the product correctly stored in unopened packaging.
Warnings: Keep out of reach of children under 3 years of age. Do not exceed the recommended daily dose. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a varied and balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
Nitric oxide: supplements and nutrition
The quest for better blood flow to the muscles (resulting in better oxygenation, nutrient supply etc.) is the goal of any sportsman. Nitric oxide plays a fundamental role, and to this end, one looks for a diet and supplements that can increase its presence in the blood.
Nitric oxide can act on mitochondrial function at different levels. Due to its vasodilating properties, it regulates blood flow to the tissues; thus, indirectly, it provides respiratory substrates to the mitochondria and redistributes the heat generated by mitochondrial respiration.
In the body, nitric oxide synthesis is a (fundamental) product of NO synthase, the process of breaking down and synthesising the essential amino acid arginine (through the use of citrulline etc.), via the nitric oxide synthase (NOS) group of enzymes.
